Inquiry about Geometric Parameter Optimization with OnScale Answered
Dear OnScale Team,
Hello, I am Mincheol Park who is a high school student studying in Metamaterial and Sonochemistry. First of all, thank you very much to the OnScale team who does the best effort for the researchers all around the world. Today, I would ask about the way to optimize the geometric parameters with Onscale.
The most important step of my research is to design the below structure called "coiled-up space" targeting the given ultrasonic condition.

Please refer to the photo above. The picture is taken from the article:https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-018-03839-z.
I need to observe the ultrasonic wave propagation for varying w, d, a, and L and select the combination of the optimized parameters in order to design the most efficient structure.
Since this is available in COMSOL Multiphysics, I was wondering whether Onscale software also serves this optimization.
Thank you for reading this email.
Sincerely Yours,
Mincheol Park

Hi Mincheol,
Welcome to our forum! Thank you for getting in touch.
OnScale's HPC platform is perfect for exploring massive design studies and optimization.
Here are some resources I think might be of interest:
Webinar: Explore Massive Design Spaces with OnScale Cloud Engineering Simulation Software
Blog: SMR Optimization via Matlab Toolbox
OnScale has no built in optimization function currently and requires some post-processing by the user. But this is a strong focus for us moving forward and we are very excited for what's to come, keep an eye out!
Best Regards,
Chloe.
