Toroid Transducer Answered
Hello,
My name is Isabel Camerini and I am currently working with the University of PUC-Rio, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in their LSFO lab.
Here we have the PZFLEX PC version.
I'm trying to simulate on PZFLEX analysts, a piezoelectric transducer in the toroid shape in 3D model. However, I don't know which command to use for excitations in an axial direction. In the help, they only present rectangular models using the node or nod2 command.
Would you have any tips or tutorials to follow?
Thanks.

Hi there,
Welcome to the forum!
Have a look at this article - https://support.onscale.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002076177-Cylindrical-Material-Poling. This should explain how to do what you want in Analyst.

Chloe
Hi Chloe,
Also, I want to excite the PZT with some function, for example, one sine pulse, and create an electrode and a ground.
How can I do this?
Best Regards,
Isabel
Hi Isabel,
Have a look at this example - https://support.onscale.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006554492-PZT-Disc-2D It excites the PZT with a Ricker Wavelet (see func command) but you can use a sine wave. To see the syntax for any of the commands just right click > Show Help For....
Best Regards,
Chloe.
