Batch Controll Tool Answered

Hello,

I had a question regarding the batch control tool and if your run it alongside your flxinp file or you make changes to it after you have clicked the run for your flxinp. I am not sure when and where to start it.

    Hi there,

Here is a short article on the batch controller tool - https://support.onscale.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022128672.

The purpose of this tool is to locally run parametric sweeps instead of on the cloud. It has the same process as running on the cloud. Once you have specified the parameters to be swept and selected run in the tool it will use the inputs specified. You can still have the file open and be making changes in another window but this will not affect the runs in the batch controller.

  • Hi thanks,

Does it mean that batch control runs separately if you hit run once the flxinp file is open. OI had issues understanding how to implement it while the code is running because it gives me an error saying the file being open is wrong, but i open the right input file

  • You cannot run the input file seperately when it is running in the batch controller, you can only edit. If you wish to run another version just create a copy of the file.
