Hi there,
There could be ringing in your results if the simulation has not fully rung down. Check the charge has rung down to almost 0. If it is taking a long time to do that you can increase your material damping or window the charge at the end.

Chloe.
Hi,
What do you mean by charge to almost 0? It looks sth like this
How do you increase the material damping and what would be the safe value to use with aluminum?
Thanks
Hi there,
The system has reached a steady state when the charge has rung down enough that the amplitude is almost zero. You can see that in your model the charge rings down and then starts ringing again. This could be a number of things. Material damping is changed in the damping command under the material, the commands for damping are vdmp, rdmp, sdmp and mdmp (see command reference). You can alter this if your simulation is taking a long time to ring down but it seems like yours is ringing down but then there is some noise afterwards. If you could share your files on your preferred cloud file sharing service I can take a look at the model for you.
Best Regards,
Chloe
