Problems with saving many time history plots Answered
Hi Team,
I would like to save time history plots from many spatial points (eg. >3000) to .MAT file for MATLAB. Unfortunately, I receive a message that insufficient memory allocation was made. How can I bypass this problem? The model works when less than 100 spatial points are selected but this is not enough for my applications.
Thanks,
Piotr

HI Piotr,
Are you running using the cloud? The estimation should take the number of time histories into account. While 3000 is a lot is definitely something we can do.
Can you send us a link to download your files and we can take a look?
Thanks,
Kevin
Yes, I am using the cloud. Could you provide me with an e-mail where I can send you the files?

Hi Piotr,
Please send your files to

Hi Piotr,
The estimator is only estimating 194 MB of RAM for this simulation which will not be enough (sometimes the estimator is not accurate - check out this blog for more details). Try overriding the estimate with 2 GB of RAM.

Chloe
Thank you Chloe for your help.

Hi Chloe,
I tried to run the simulations with overriding the estimate three times, for 2GB, 3GB, and 10 GB of RAM. Each time I put a 60 CH limit. Unfortanetlly, it did not work. The simulations failed and almost 55 CH were used from my account. Is there any other way to save time history plots from many spatial points in comparison to the one I use right now?
Thanks,
Piotr
