Solver job failed to start Answered

Hey,

I design a 3D module. After defining the variables, defining the X-Y-Z keypoints and i-j-k keypoints, meshing, defining and assigning materials to the geometry and plotting the geography,I clicked the Preview Model button to check my module ,but a message said the job failed to start.I am 70% sure that my code has no errors.

A few days ago ,I moved the OnScale Desktop Application file from the disk C to disk D.Before that,I can preview the model ,but can't run on cloud. Now,I am not even able to preview a module.I don't know whether moving the application file matters. So,what is wrong? And how to solute it?

  • Hi there,

I think this problem may be related to your location. Are you based in China? Currently our default cloud platform is Google Cloud Platform (GCP) but you can change this to Amazon Web Services (AWS) to see if that works. To do so follow these steps:

    1. Login to the portal
    2. Go to Accounts > HPC Preferences
    3. Select AWS East
    4. Select Save HPC

Try running the simulation again. I hope this fixes the issue.
