OnScale crashing when running grph commands Answered
I am using analyst to run a model, but OnScale will always crash whenever there is a grph command. It works fine when there is none but when adding:
grph
plot matr
end
OnScale gives an "Abnormal Termination" error message.
The model I am using runs fine on another computer.

Hi James,
We do not heavily test the UI functionality like graphics plots for Linux so there could be bugs with that.
You are also using an old version which could be an issue. Current release is 1.30.11.
If the plotting is not mandatory to making the model run, I would remove the grph command altogether as a workaround. You can either output the model as a flex data out file to plot post process.
Thanks,
Kevin
Hi James,
This could be a couple of things. Are you using remote desktop - we do not support this? Also does your graphics card support OpenGL 2.0 or higher?
Best Regards,
Chloe
Hi Chloe,
I am not using a remote desktop and I have OpenGL 3.0 installed.

Sorry James, I meant a different file. Before terminating, OnScale will generate a log file (with extension .txt) in the %APPDATA%\OnScale\OnScale folder of the system on which OnScale is installed. This reports some of the basic settings of your remote environment and can be used for debug purposes. If you share this that would be great.
Thanks,
Chloe
Hi Chloe,
Where is the log file stored on Linux?
James
Hi James,
I believe it should be stored in "~/.onscale/logs".
Best Regards,
Chloe
Hi Chloe,
I do not have a .onscale folder (I can see hidden files).
Best wishes,
James
Hi James,
Please try this directory for Linux - "~/.local/share/OnScale/OnScale".
Thanks
