How to measure the piezoelectric effect? Answered
Hi, I'd like to know how to measure the effect of a pressure wave in a rode of piezoelectric material.
I'm interested in measuring the voltage induced in a pillars of piezomaterial by a pressure wave.

Please see this Designer example here along with Analyst examples here and hydrostatic deformation example as well as the 2D piezoelectric example. The help centre will have more examples. These examples tend to show pressure wave generation from an applied electrical excitation.
You can instead apply a pressure load to your setup to be received by the transducer. You can find more information here. In addition, you can change your electrical connections so that it behaves as a receive circuit. This would entail removing the voltage source and leaving a resistor across the terminals of the transducer for example.

I tried with different setup and following the examples provided but it didn't solved my problem.
What I'm trying to do is to measure the crosstalk between the first element of a linear array and the ones next to it, I'm getting some results in the form of charge at the top and bottom of the electrodes of the other elements while only the central one is beaming, but all of those signals are at the same time, I'd expect a shift in time getting further from the central element.
