how apply the surface velocity of transducer as driving 回答済み

Hi there,

I got the surface velocity info of the ultrasound transducer by vibrometer in experiments then wanna apply it into the Onsacle model.(The following please see the part of code). I was wondering if I need to use the command piez defn to define the active electrode and ground electrode and the command piez conn to apply func at the active electrode.

data
hist drv1 5
0.0   0
1e-3 1
2e-3 2.
3e-3 3.
4e-3 4.
end
func hist drv1

boun

defn velocity vel func

node $i2 $i2 $j1 $j2  // the surface of ultrasound transducer or the active electrode of transducer

end

  • Hi Li,

Yes you would use the PIEZ command to exactly as you have decribed.

Howevr, you would only use the PIEZ CONN command in tandem with circuits. If you aren't using any circuits then you would use the PIEZ BC command to assign the fucntion to the electrode.

This is the simplest model we have that uses PIEZ. Have a look through the code.

  • Thanks Oliver,

I don't use circuits and voltage function but would assign the surface velocity. I was wondering is it the same thing when I assign the velocity to the electrode but the surface.  I noticed the PIEZ BC command is used to define the electrode and assign its voltage function.

    Many thanks

  • Sorry what are you trying to do, could you explain it in a bit more detail? Are you trying to define a velocity boundary condition and assign this to an electrode?

  • Sorry for the confusion. I measured the displacement data of the transducer surface by vibrometer. Then I would import this data to my simulation model as driving to see what its pressure map would be like. What I did was to define a velocity boundary condition at the top surface, but I am not sure if I should assign the data to the transducer's electrode as I thought this data is about displacement, not the voltage.
