Sorry I thought I mentioned this in my last comment another reason this could be happening is the size of the source vs the element size. Are you changing the size of the mesh with each model? A fi...

What model is this for we are currently looking at or plan to look at other models you have shared, just to gie me a better understanding of the variables you posted above

Can you share the model files with us? Maybe an image of the geometry and where you would like to place the absorbers would help. Oliver

Use impd boundaries instead. boundefn impdBC impd autonode $i2 $i3 $j2 $j2
-
Absorbin boundary conditions need to be placed on the extents/exterior/limits of the model you have specified the nodal location i3-1 looking at your node map i4 lies on the exterior of the model.

You can use the SITE ELIP command and just do this via analyst as well.

Hi Hyunjae, You can verify the 2D PLAIN STRAIN against a 3D model similar to what you have done with the 2D AXI and 3D model. What I'm trying to say is using the same 3D model to verify both 2D cas...

Hi Hxd, It is widely understood that a plane wave will propagate along a uniform FE mesh; however, it propagates at the wrong velocity yielding a progressive phase error in the FE solution. This is...

Hi Hyunjae Song, This is how you can create an ellipse in 3D: In 2D this isn't an option you would be better using an external CAD application like OnShape to create the geometry and import it int...
