Elastic Moduli

Follow

An elastic modulus is a measure of the resistance of a body to elastic deformation when subject to an applied stress, defined by the ratio of stress over strain. Each modulus refers to a different way in which the stress and strain are measured, e.g. Young’s modulus, bulk modulus and shear modulus.
