Calculate impedance response using voltage and current data exported from history flxhst file? Answered
Hi there,
I'm trying to calculate the Impedance Response using the Voltage and Current data, which have been exported from the history flxhst file. What I did was:
- R=fft(voltage)/fft(current)
- impedance = abs(R); phase=angle(R)
However, the results were different from the Impedance Response calculated using the 'freq impd' in Onscale Review. Could you help me figure out why this happened? and how should I fix it?

Instead of using the Review file, I was trying to export the voltage and current data into .csv files (included in the link) first, and then using Matlab to do the calculation (as presented in my original post). For comparison purpose, I also exported the impedance response file from Onscale post processor.

Hi Xiaotong Li,
It looks like you are outputting the voltage and charge data in the flxhst and saving the charge as cur.csv. You need the voltage and current data, not charge. To output this add the i option to the pout electrode output.
