Error notice: "Your model failed to estimate due to a syntax error in the input deck..." Answered
I have no idea why I got this error message. I am a new to Onscale, so if anyone have already overcome this problem please help me a hand.
I will deliver the input file if needed. Thanks.

Hi there,
Welcome to the forum!
This error means that there is a syntax error in your input deck (i.e. your *.flxinp file). If you open the *.flxprt file generated and scroll to the bottom you should see the error message and where it occurs.

Chloe
Thanks Chloe,
I have an additional question: How can I model a multilayered structure and a half-space structure in OnScale?
Best,
Ductho
Ductho,
You can model in Analyst (code-based) or Designer (GUI). Here are a few examples of multi-layered structures:
For a half-space structure it is the same idea but with spheres or cylinders
If you have something more specific in mind let me know and I will see if we have any examples.

Chloe
Hi,
I have read these examples and still wonder if the model do not have the interface conditions between 2 layers, so what is this type of contact (bonded, sliding, spring,...).
In my case, I want to model wave propagation in 2-layered plate with bonded contact or sliding contact between these layers.
Dutcho,
For bonded contact, have a look at the bond command in the Command Reference. For sliding contact have a look at the intr command.
Here is an example of two plates with sliding contact.
I hope this helps.

Chloe
Hi Chloe,
I have successful applied bonded contact to my model. Thanks for your guidance.
Best regards,
Ductho
