Electrode nodes for 3D radially poled cylinder Answered
Hi, I have a 3D hollow cylindrical geometry with electrodes on the inner and outer surfaces (loads added using the "Surface" creation mode in designer), and then following the "Cylindrical Material Poling" example I added the lines of code in Analyst for changing the poling to radial. The geometry appears correct on a model preview however I get a "No electrode nodes defined" error when running. In the current piez nod2 commands e.g. "nod2 pzt4 watr $is $ie $js $je $ks $ke" is it has having trouble since there are now multiple different pzt4 materials? How can I properly define the nodes?
Thank you

Hi Alex,
You need to use the root option in piez nod2 when you want to load lots of materials that start with the same word.

Hi Alex,
Can you share your file via your preferred cloud file sharing service and I will take a look for you.

Hi, here is the file: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AoppA7Z0ksUXap2TgRnGDxXg_CY?e=1MNn4G
It is very similar to the radially poled cylinder example, with added surface electrodes, adding water as the background material, changing the cylinder dimensions (and adjusting parameters for radially poling accordingly), and adding a couple outputs. If your replace "regn watr" with "regn void" in the site definitions you can see the model preview looks appropriate.
Thank you!
Alex
