Radial plot Answered

why i didn't get symmetry radial plot with propagation vector along Z-axis when i simulate a transducer underwater with extrapolation output along Z axis and PZT poling direction is Z-axis and electrode are also applied at Z maximum and Z minimum faces.but i got symmetry radial plot with propagation vector along X and Y axis

  • when i put extrapolation output on both positive and negative z axis, i got symmetry radial plot with propagation vector along z axis. Is this procedure correct or not?

  • I am not sure I understand what you are asking, please provide your extrapolation code and I can review. When you say radial plot do you mean plotting with polar coordinates?

In general, there is an extrapolation boundary. If the boundary is correctly defined the extrapolation outcome would show a propagation pattern consistent with the propagation characteristics of your source. This article has a good example.
