  Are you using the analyst or designer mode? Also are you using CAD?

  Hi Rahul,

  If you are using analyst then you will see a SITE command this commands allows you to assign materials to regions of the grid you have setup. It will look something like this

  site

       regn alum $i1 $i2 $j1 $j2 $k1 $k2 /* alum = aluminum 

  If you want to change the material you would simply change alum to another material you have defined.

  yeah Oliver, got this but what if I want to add some material say CdS (cadmium sulphide) then how will I add this. I mean from where will I get required parameters to set.

  Also if you open the command reference via the application and search for the command matr you will find syntax for this and all the associated subcommands.
