Analyst input Gaussian temporal part as txt file 回答済み
Hello,
I have been trying to add the path of a text file to my flxinp file under the forcing function part but it doesn't seem to find it although i saved both files in the same folder. I am using the data hist h3 followed by the file path. What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to the forum!
Here are a couple of point about data hist:
1. The format of the time history data should be: one pair (time, data value) per record for
nvaluesrecords. The data must be in free-format text form.e.g.
0.0 0.0 /* one data pair is specified on each line, time is input first
1.0 10.0
5.0 0.0
2. The format of the command is data hist dataname nvalues filename.
e.g.
data hist h3 3 my.hist.file /* read in time history h3 from another file
From what you have commented, it sounds like you are missing nvalues which is the number of digitized time history values. So for the first example this is 3.

Also I was wondering how do I add a user defined load (a Force in my case) if I do not want the built in function. I have written it down in my flxinp script but is there a way to access your flxinp through designer?

You can specify user defined input functions in the forcing functions section of the model tree.

Sorry I meant the spatial part of a forcing function under the loads, I already have the temporal part from this option...
