Transducer simulation error 回答済み

I'm trying to simulate a transducer and my geometric model is a pzt-4 piezoelectric material sandwiched between a hard epoxy and stainless steel as a backing this is all submerged in water. My model failed to estimate due to a syntax error in the input deck. I checked the .prnt file and the error reads "surface is not within uniform material" What does this mean?

You may have an extrapolation boundary set up incorrectly - the boundary must be set within a single homogenous material (Water in this case). You should be able to visualize this in Designer mode.

If you are scripting the model, the extr node commands controls what nodal points on the mesh the boundary is defined on. You would need to determine what nodes are are within the water material.

    Thanks,

    Kevin
