Simulating a Simple 3D Source in a Fluid

This simple 3D model demonstrates how to set up a simple wave propagation problem using basic geometric shapes in OnScale.

In this video two cubic geometries are created, one to represent a body of water and the other to represent steel object that lies within this body of water. A pressure load is applied at one extent of the body of water and the simulation analyses the acoustic wave propagating and interacting with the steel object.

This video covers:

  • Geometry creation
  • Material assignment
  • Time function definition
  • Mesh settings
  • Pressure Loading
  • Outputs requests
  • Simulation set up
  • Cloud Runtime Graphics
  • Running on the cloud, downloading results and post processing the results
